Director of Merchandising

Aflalo is a modern luxury fashion brand rooted in elegance, opulence, and bold femininity. We are seeking a Director of Merchandising to lead product strategy and drive the commercial success of our collections. This is a key leadership role that blends data-driven insight with impeccable taste.

Responsibilities:

• Own seasonal and core line planning across all categories
• Analyze sell-through performance and drive reorders of high-performing styles
• Partner closely with design to shape product assortments that are both elevated and commercially viable
• Set pricing, SKU count, and category depth targets by season
• Guide the product calendar and ensure timely handoffs across design, development, and production
• Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, operations, and e-commerce to ensure alignment
• Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to inform product opportunities
• Champion the brand’s aesthetic and help curate a distinctive point of view in the assortment

Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience in merchandising, ideally in luxury or high-end contemporary fashion
• Strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of product performance metrics
• Excellent taste and trend instincts, with an eye for what resonates commercially
• Confident communicator and collaborator across creative and operational teams
• Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable in a fast-paced, founder-led environment
