About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President, Operations to play a pivotal role in the organization's mission to ensure safe, respectful, and equitable maternal health journeys for all. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the development and formalization of finance, operations, and HR verticals, with a focus on strengthening the organization's financial and operational excellence. This leadership position requires a strategic and entrepreneurial individual with a passion for system and process development in a nonprofit setting. Key responsibilities include organizational leadership, operations management, HR leadership, and financial management. The VPO will work closely with the Founder and President, and the senior leadership team to ensure the team has the necessary infrastructure and capabilities to advance the mission. Applicants must have a minimum of 15 years' work experience, with at least 7 years in a senior operational or administrative leadership role, preferably in a nonprofit organization. The role demands excellent critical thinking, leadership, and communication skills, as well as a proven track record in managing complex issues and driving change. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR and financial management, with the ability to oversee budgeting, and ensure legal and regulatory compliance. A passion for the mission of the organization and a commitment to building a culture of equity and belonging are essential. The role also requires the ability to work effectively in both in-person and remote environments, and to lead with resilience and professionalism.
